Brown is headquartered in Davenport, Iowa. Operations are also maintained in the Chicago, Minneapolis, Omaha and St. Louis areas. We continue to expand our offerings of products and services to meet the demands of the industry. Brown serves the Intelligent Transportation Systems industry in the Midwest. Brown, founded in 1969 by Roger L. Brown as the Roger L. Brown Sales Agency, served the industry in Minnesota and Iowa. The territory was expanded to include Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. In 1976, William J. Schiltz, the former General Sales Manager for Eagle Traffic Control Systems, purchased the company. Brown continued to expand, outgrowing two facilities, and eventually moved to the former headquarters and operations facility of Eagle Traffic Control Systems in Davenport, Iowa. This 250,000 square-foot facility, Harborview, provides constant opportunities for expansion. Concurrent to the facility expansion Brown acquired Riddle Control Products in 1982 and entered the Illinois market in 1988. Roger L. Brown, Ralph M. Riddle and William J. Schiltz provided a strong foundation upon which Brown continues to grow today.
